BBTB2 Breast Cancer Awareness

Hey All!

Today I'm here with a really  meaningful challenge from BBTB2.  The challenge this week is to create a project reflecting the fact that October is breast cancer awareness month. My personal challenge to you would be to create a project specifically for someone you know who has struggled with this disease or maybe is currently fighting it. Let them know that you are thinking of them and how they have inspired you. I created a little notecard and I apologize in advance for the photos, my husband and I just moved into a new condo (yipee for my own craft room!) and I haven't unpacked my photostudio yet : ). I used the bra cut from the Forever Young cartridge to make a shaped card. The paper print is from my Adelaide Collection (scroll down to the bottom of the post for a freebie!) which is no longer available in my Etsy shop.

The flower and leaves I made using Martha Stewart air dry clay, which is my new favorite crafting tool. The stuff is magic and you just push the light fluffy clay into the silicone molds, pop them out, let them dry and you end up with an endless supply of gorgeous little embellishments which can be painted and in this case, dusted with some shimmer powder and  coated with diamond glaze to give them a shimmery shiny finish. If you haven't seen this stuff I highly recommend looking it up. The dried embellishments are flexible and have the consistency of foam, which makes them perfect for paper projects.

Be sure to check out the BBTB2 blog to see the other lovely designers' work and enter the challenge! Also, here is the lacy digital paper I used for the project. You can click on it to bring up the larger picture and download it download to use in your digital scrapbooking or papercrafting projects.
Here's to the creative journey
