I Spy sketches #5

Hey All!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I spent Friday night having a girl's night to celebrate my husband's grandma's 75th birthday. She is a sweet, Godly lady with an open and hilarious sense of humor. Happy Birthday Linda!

Today I have a card inspired by this week's sketch challenge over at I Spy Sketches. I used my new Sweetness digital papers from Pink Paislee available on Jessicasprague.com.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on it:

I printed the sentiment straight onto the paper but then it didn't stand out quite enough so I went over it with white gel pen to make it pop a little more.
I made the flower using m Midori Dupioni ribbon. I'm addicted to the shine and shabby texture of this ribbon, its so beautiful.

Ingredients:
  • Cricut Cartridges Used: Lacy Labels
  • card stock: Conqueror
  • Patterned paper: Sweetness Collection by Pink Paislee (digital)
  • ribbon, Midori (yellow) Simplicity (ruffled)
  • other: Silhouette Cameo (for the parentheses), buttons, white gel pen, Tim Holtz distress ink

~Here's to the creative journey
