I'm sorry I've been MIA the past few days, I came down with a bad cold and have had to neglect my crafting table. I wanted to share some exciting news with you! I have been a fan of the Bitten by the Bug 2 blog for awhile and when I heard they were having a design team call, I applied right away! Having never been on a design team before, I didn't expect to get accepted but imagine my surprise when I made the team! A huge thanks to Donna and Carole for all your encouragement and support.
For my design team submission, I made this Mother's Day Card using some of my Adelaide Digital papers (found here). and a bunch of different Cricut Cartridges (see full ingredients list below).
I used the "Petit Fours" paper as the background, the "Creamer" paper along the bottom and then cut the doily out of the "Table Lace" paper. I also printed a few swatches in coordinating colors to cut the flowers out of. I use the free Silhouette software to make and print my swatches (available here), Its a great design tool and you only have to have a Silhouette to cut with it.
To add dimension to the flowers, I touched them up with Copic markers and added some Swarovski crystals for the centers.
Enjoy!
Project Ingredients:
- Patterned paper: Adelaide by Tangle's Treasures
- Cricut Cartridges used: Spring Cottage (ferns), CTMH: Art Philosophy (doily, flower), Love you a Latte (vase)
- rhinestones: Swarovski
- Sentiment: Albermarle Swash, Albermarle End Swash
- Tim Holtz Distress ink (antique linen)
