Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Butterfly Card

Don't forget to grab the free .svg file I posted yesterday! Woolsey is only available for a limited time!

Hey All!

Today I have a bright Spring card to share that I created for the weekly challenge on the Create: blog and the Scrappy Frogs challenge for this week. The Create: challenge was to make a card for Spring and it fit perfectly with the Scrappy Frogs shape card challenge.

This butterfly is from the Cricut Close To My Heart, Art Philosophy cartridge and is one of my favorite butterflies in the Cricut library. I welded two butterfly shapes to make the card base and then cut a third one for the little butterfly. The Spring banner is hand written and cut and I curled the paper to make it a little more dimensional. The little antenna are some pearl  flower stamens I found in the bridal section at Michaels.
The paper is from Echo Park's new Graceful digital set, available at Jessicasprague.com.

Ingredients:
  • Cardstock: Conqueror
  • Patterned paper: Echo Park (Graceful digital set)
  • Pearls, gem: Recollections
  • Twine: House of three (Soiree)
  • Ribbon; Midori dupioni
